April Snow
April in the Black Forest can still throw a winter day at you without warning. The forests around Blumberg were completely blanketed — a quiet, even silence between the trees, with fresh snow sitting heavy on every branch. The trails were empty.
The Viewpoint
The viewpoint above the town rewards the climb even on a grey day. Snow-covered fields spread out across the Baar plateau below, broken up by small villages and lines of hedges. The scarf was necessary — proper winter cold despite it technically being spring. One of those days that reminds you the Black Forest does what it wants, regardless of the calendar.
